Damn, NOW I need to start digging. '90 is obvious if pic is true. Using bkim's scan, compare the 6s and 5s right next to the magnified images, in the '75 the "5" doesn't look like any 6s, in the '76 still really blurry, but 6s look like 6s. Tuff call. Out come the boxes of TSC !!! lol.

Still not enough clarity/resolution to rule out photoshopping.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

We know the Yount card says 1975. We know the Eckersley card says 1976. These two look nothing alike. In absence of a quality scan, I've resorted to logic. The Quirk looks just like the Eckersley to me, despite the fact that I originally called it a 5. I know I'm repeating myself, but that's my opinion.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

After reviewing A LOT of e-mails, scouring the internet sites for photos, and other evidence, I'm declaring my theory:
Someone saw the scan we had (which was of the COR version, but because it was of lower resolution, the 6 looked like a 5. This same person probably had the 1976 COR and thought they looked different than the scan here. So they requested that the card currently here be called an ERR as it is "1975" and have the COR version added. Since then, we have discovered that a true variation (ERR) exists with a version that says "1990". (Thankfully, that discovery brough this to our attention.)
Steps to resolve the mess we have here:
- Remove the 1975 card completely as it doesn't exist.
- Move all the collection info for the 1975 to the 1976.
- Annotate the 1976 and COR and give it the number qualifier of "b".
- Add the 1990 ERR version.
- Annotate the 1990 as ERR and give it the number qualifier of "a".
There are several people with the 1990 version. Once the new card is added, you will be able to get your collection info correct.
Thanks to everyone who responded on this thread and to my e-mails. I am grateful to everyone who responded (I know I didn't get the chance to reply personally to all of the e-mails).
