"Some people believe that corrected versions were only distributed in 2002 Topps holiday (blue) factory sets. This error was NOT corrected for the HTA and Limited Edition factory sets (see below).”

This statement from baseballcardpedia suggests that blue sets exist that are not HTA sets but every single one I have seen is marked as an HTA set. Also, it is not true that the HTA Pujols wasn't corrected. It definitely was and examples of both versions can currently been seen on ebay (I own none).

On factory sets: I opened plenty of each the green and red sets but also several "red" sets that, once in hand, looked brown or orange. A stark difference side by side. My Loretta correction came from a red (or orange or brown) set, not a green one.

I had the green one and I have the error Leskanic/Loretta version.

Hi all! I just wanted to show that the two HTA versions of #144 Craig Counsell & #160 Albert Pujols have the both error and corrected in the HTA sets. Also, #446 Mark Loretta base, not HTA version was corrected as mentioned, and IMO I think it was in a factory set and not pack pulled.

One of my Lorettas was pulled from a factory set. This was a regular set, not an HTA set "that is missing its stamp" as has been suggested. I have also pulled the error (Leskanic) version more commonly from the same set type. It is my belief that the correction was added late in production for the sets. 

Thanks, I just happened to find the Counsell on eBay one day while searching. I have a Buck Martinez that has half the HTA logo embossed on it so if it was missing the stamp the embossing imprint would most likely still be there like my Martinez. 

Ive had to explain the HTA stamp/embossing thing to people here and to PSA when they claimed that the corrected Loretta was a "print flaw" due to a missing HTA stamp. They returned the card ungraded as a 'manufacturers misprint.'
