So I have been starting to collect the 2002 Topps #160 Albert Pujols cards and want to know if anyone has or has seen a regular pack issued version that is corrected? PSA is showing 49 corrected versions in their data base but I have never seen a regular paper version that is not opening day that is corrected. It has to be super rare to find im guessing. The chrome version is corrected. The opening day is corrected. The gold refractor is corrected.

We would need to see some visual proof. We have seen enough errors on PSA's part to question that info.

Yeah we need some visual proof indeed. When I looked on their site to check I was dumbfounded because I thought all of the regular paper versions are errors. I thought maybe they were opening day ones but PSA has a sepreate category for those.

It's an error on PSA's part, weather they were grading the Japanese version as the base or the Opening Day version as the base. There have been an absolute TON of people looking for this card over the years and one has never surfaced. I think it is safe to say that a corrected base version does not exist.
Topps announced at the time that they would fix the error in the "Holiday Version" of the factory set, however then didn't follow up on actually fixing the error. I believe this is where most of the confusion comes from.

I agree on the PSA labelling uncorrected or other sets as the corrected version, there is no chance that 50 copies of this card were submitted to them.
However, since Topps considered the HTA set a Holiday issue, they technically did correct it as the HTA Pujols can be found in both versions.
At some point pre-2008, a copy of the base Topps Pujols with corrected photo did appear for sale on ebay. I do not recall the sale price or if the winner left feedback confirming they received it as represented but I posted a reference to the sale in the beckett forums "errors and variations" discussion in 2008.

I should have been more clear...I have seen corrected versions with the HTA stamp on front, but I have never seen a corrected version without the stamp. Granted I stopped looking some time ago, but after 20 years one thinks a few more would have surfaced if they had actually been corrected.

My memory is that a standard, base Pujols with correct photo on back sold sometime prior to 2008 when I posted about it in the Beckett thread. And I was actively searching for proof of it at the time. I checked for the "limited" and HTA foiling to be sure it was the real deal but I did not acquire any additional info as to its provenance or who won it, if it was a real, completed sale, etc. I can't say that I have seen another, non-HTA, base issue turn up for sale since then but I stopped looking with regularity some years back.
