2001 Topps Baseball Forum

According to information contained on this site, tell me if I have this right:

RED checklists were available in Hobby packs.

GREEN checklists were available in HTA Jumbo packs

YELLOW/GOLD Checklists were available in retail packages QUESTION - would this include the standard retail as well as the Blaster variety?

They aren't listed here but there is also a BLUE variety - Once I receive the one I found on COMC I will post it.  Any one know what packaging these were issued in?

HTA were multiple colors not just green.  The comc "blue" looks like the HTA purple(?).

Unfortunately, I don't have direct access to the cards right now due to some basement flooding issues I had over the summer which I am trying to resolve before making the cards available for me to view again, but I can tell you what I learned from my notes.  The HTA Series 1 checklists were Green(1)/Green(2)/Purple(3)/Brown(4).  It is the same for Series 2.  Hobby checklists are red for series 1 and 2.

Retail checklists are all yellow for series 1 and 2. The images for Series 2, checklists 3 and 4 are incorrect/missing from the site (people keep adding the brown HTA).  I have the correct ones in my possession, but am unable to scan because of the current setup I'm working with.  These would have been found in any sort of retail packs, so blasters would be included.

Thanks - I watched some videos yesterday of 2001 Topps box and pack openings on YouTube. 

While all the hobby packs contained red checklists, all retail packs (7 card blasters, 10 cards and 15 cards) contained the Green/Blue/Brown; I even had occasion to open a pack yesterday of the retail Jumbo 15 cards and it contained a Green checklist.   

No HTA pack openings on YouTube that I could find.

I am ordering a few inexpensive packs from eBay to do a little research myself.  

That is interesting.  I had looked at the checklists and verified them against pack odds listed on baseballcardpedia.  If a version of a card was only available in one, such as HTA, and it was listed on that colored checklist, then that was assumed to be correct.  However if you are seeing something different coming from packs we should update the site.

I will let you know what I find. Meantime, I just pulled a Home Team Advantage card from a 2001 pack which is identical to those listed as inserts in 2000 Topps (carry a 2000 CR date).  These are not listed for 2001 Topps - only the Trade Nights card is shown.  Because this was placed in packs for 2001 as well, should it be shown as an insert?
