2000 Ultra Baseball Forum

Anyone know why this would sell for over $400?  I've never seen any of the bat/jersey cards from this set get close to that.  Being that it is the only bat/jersey from the 2000 Fleer 3000 inserts that I don't have, I figured maybe there is more to the story.

No idea why, but 2 people really, really wanted it...

Two people wanting it at all costs is all it takes.  FWIW, it looks like this insert set is a mess.  I don't see any card #s on the cards, so these should all be NNO unless I'm missing them.  Also, only two of the scanned cards has a handwritten SN on back, so I'm not sure if somebody scrubbed the SN before uploading or if some of these should be PR.  The one currently listed as CY2 is scanned in a graded holder, cropped around the full slab.  I'll see if I can crop that one to be acceptable or report for removal, but not sure what to do on the other issues as I'm not familiar with this insert set.

cl_kyle.....I'm trying to think back because at the time I was chasing the Brock and Musial cards.  If I remember correctly, I think there were both PR and SN used for these cards so I think you are right on both counts.  Really ticked me off that as a collector if you wanted to try and get all or most of them you had to buy 5 different Fleer products.  The 14 different players were split up between Focus, Mystique, Showcase, Tradition, and Ultra.

Thanks, saw that one.  With regards to SN vs PR, I believe all are SN, but like with many Fleer products, many backup extras hit the market after the Fleer bankruptcy.
