It has come to our attention that there are 2 different backs for cards 121-180 (one with an ad regarding saving the cards and one for an upcoming Superman set). The "Save these cards backs" are classified here as variant [a], while the "Superman backs" are classified as the [b] backs. If you have any of these in your collection, you are being urged to review the cards you have and adjust your collection accordingly.

Additionally, for you eagle-eyed members, there are several "Superman backs" already scanned in here. Those cards (we'll move front and back together) will need to be reported (IR system, please!) so the originalsubmitters retain their images.

i jumped over and posted some IRs for cards with Superman backs and i noticed 2 different styles of Superman backs, one referring to Superman gum and the other promoting the Superman set.

I don't know if there were instances where both types of Superman backs were used on a single card. I guess we'll hear about it if that was the case.

I think there are supeman backs all the way through #240. Here are graded examples that I have found...

There's no question in my mind that the superman backs go all the way through #240. It surprising that the #180 limit is still even discussed.

Do all high numbers (181-240) have the superman ad on back? I just looked at the images on TCDB and all have the Superman ad on back. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the variation.

Does that mean there are no "Collect these cards" backs for 181-240?

That's what I am wondering. I haven't seen an example above 180 without a Superman ad.
