1988 Donruss Baseball Forum

For the life of me I can't tell the difference from the 3 baseball cards for the sets. Can someone explain it to me? It says the difference is 1987 leaf but, they all say that

Please look at the pictures, and please read the Note2 descriptions a little more carefully. If you're missing the differences there, you'll surely miss the actual differences on the cards.

Funny coincidence as I spent yesterday reuploading this set into here. There are generally 2 versions of the packed out card where the difference is whether the leaf Inc has a period after it or not. For the factory set version, the majority of the difference is in how the bio text is set up on the back. You'll notice between the pack and factory version that the last line of text starts with a different word due to typesetting. For those where the back between the two look the same then looks at the front borders as well. Many of the cards have flipped fronts where the, say, top left corner may be blue on one version, but black on the other.

I did notice at least one card, Valenzuela I believe, where the text between the 2 pack versions were completely differnt.

When you are looking at a checklist, there is a sidebar on the left-hand side titled "Set Links".  One of those links is "Forum".  If you click that link it takes you to all of the discussions about that set.  I don't think there is any set who's variations have been discussed more than 1988 Donruss.  Here's a sample:
