1986 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 4 Non-Sport Forum

This set comes from the factory with both an "a" and "b"  version of each card (125a,125b, 126a, 126b....etc). In addition, many of the cards have variations. 

What goes is the sub-number field in cases like this? Capitalized "A" and "B"? I did the first card that way but it makes the checklist look a little strange.

I'm trying to respond to an IR and it looks like all the Garbage Pail Kids sets are this way. They also appear to need a little TLC. I'm not a Garbage Pail expert but I am willing to work on them a little during pauses in my other project.

I would really appreciate ideas on the number / sub-number fields.

That is an odd one and I agree it looks strange, but I'm not sure how else to go about it.  Perhaps '.a' and '.b' in the sub-number?  It just looks like it needs something to separate the actual card number from the variation instance.

Yeah, I updated my collection this summer. I had to request by IR, many additions due to so many variations. There are more but I took a break from GPKs. Good luck, available for reference only.

Yes.   I gave up on this (and otherGPK) set over a year ago.   It was hurting my head.
