Bill Russell Forum

I now know that including team cards is a subject of dispute, but since this card undoubtedly and unambiguously features Bill Russell (he's actually featured so prominently that it could be said that he's the subject of the card, not the team), I think it should be listed. It would be only his fourth major release during his career as a player and/or coach. I'll post the official 1974 team poster it's based on, which also names Russell in print, and only him in print, right next to him, the rest of the team names being just a jumble of signatures. As a noob, I don't know how to add a card, nor do I feel comfortable doing it being so new here, so I will just leave this here for the community/admin to act on.

I identified the signatures on the poster, and matched the names to the faces of the players on the stairs. (For whatever it's worth, the visible warmup numbers all seem to match, too.) If this isn't sufficient, let me know and I'll try to find more evidence. Hopefully it meets the all-or-nothing every-or-none standard for someone to add all the links.

One of the signatures was ambiguous, so I cross-referenced it with what I suspected was John Hummer's signature, and it checks out, it's definitely his signature.

Some of the faces were instantly recognizable, like Slick Watts and Fred Brown.

But the rest all match up, too.
