Oh man, that stinks. One of the most underrated players ever! If all of his games were filmed he would be a lot more well known.

He is credited with inventing the high flying, above the rim style that has dominated the NBA for the past 40 years.

I started following the Lakers during the 1971-72 championship season, in which Baylor retired after only nine games, so I never got to see him play but by all accounts he was a first ballot Hall of Famer. A fixture on the L.A. basketball scene for decades with the Lakers and Clippers, he leaves a great legacy. RIP.
