I knew that he had cancer, but didn't realize that it was so far advanced. Very sad day, and though I can't say I was thrilled whenever I found out that I was going to a game that he was starting, he had an amazing tenure with the Sox on and off the field. Lots of guys pass through Fenway, but he will be one that will truly be missed for all that he had done and should still have had time to do. Take care, Tim.

Very sad for his kids.  He's got a 18 and 19 year old.  And his wife is currently fighting pancreatic cancer.  Breaks my heart for them.
