For some reason most of his minor league and early major league cards incorrectly list him as a right-handed hitter, although there is no evidence of him batting anything other than from the left side. He started as a middle infielder and threw righty, and for some reason he posed as a right handed hitter on some of his minor league cards (a strange fad among minor league cards in the 8's and 90's - see the "Posing Wrong Handed" tag for more examples). Maybe his batting hand was entered incorrectly in some pro baseball player's database, and everyone blindly copied that info until after he reached the majors.
