Not sure how you like to handle this, but Pancho and Frank are the same guy.

 Yes same person.  I actually saw him play for Phils in the first game I ever saw in person.   The name "Pancho" stands out to a little kid.    He had two good years for the Phils then disappeared from the Bigs.   I think the Phils may have turned to Wes Covington or Roy Sievers at 1B after Pancho.

As a collector of 1961 Topps baseball cards, it has always bothered my OCD a bit that Pancho had a Sporting News All Star card in this set, but not a regular card.  I don't know exactly why he was left out of the regular set, since he played the entire year of 1961 with the Phillies, with his last game coming on October 1st of that year.

 For whatever reason, it seems that Topps forgot about Pancho when they made up the early 1961 series but remembered him in time to include him in the Sporting News AS cards.   Remember, back then, the cards were issued in series.   The AS cards were in the 7th series, so maybe Topps woke up by that time.    First series usually came out in March, the last series, 7th, came out in summer.   It was a lot of fun collecting and waiting for the next series to arrive at the corner store.

I sure wish cards were still available at the corner store, rather than at the stores that have cornered the market.  Seriously, other than the sparse card shops (dropping like flies) and Toys R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart, where can you find cards these days?
