Well its been an interesting night here, bizarre storm taking place right now. Have had 130 kph winds, rain, lightning and yup snow all in the last 4 hours. Two trains have derailed, my shingles are going to $**t and it has not thought of slowing up yet. Now I know what you guys go through down there. Oh yeah and two prarie grass fires started from this that are out of control down south (closer to Calgary) Was 14C today and sunny ............. now its well CRAPPY and 6C. Crazy!!

Holy crap! That really sucks. I hope by "kph" that you mean kilometers/hour and not knots/hour. So what you are saying in American terms is winds around 80mph and the temp went from upper-50's F to low-40's F. Wind-wise, that sounds like a Cat1 Hurricane, but the temps make it sound like a blizzard. Try to stay safe and dry!!!
That makes our cool-down here in NC seem like nothing. We've been in the mid-upper 80's high F temp (around 30C) for about a week until Monday when we only got up to 64F/18C. Today was a bit cooler but more b/c of the breeze from the northwest at about 10mph/16kmph. Tuesday's LOW temp was 41F/6C and that the coolest we've been since early May. At least we get to warm back up to around normal for the next week. Normal is mid-70's F (or mid-20's C).

yeh thats sux.. its bad enough when the winds are that high, but im sure its even more blistering painful when its that cold too!! i guess on the plus side, you're not getting 30" of rain water that comes with it. stay low, dry, and safe buddy!

Still haven't turned on my heat here in NJ but it is great sleeping with the chilly nights. 41 here this morning when I awoke.

Wind warnings are over, clouds are gone, sun not up yet but I see twinklin stars again!! LOL That was a crappy nights sleep. The downspouts and drains rattled all night right by my window. GRRRR. Social media saying some places have roof damage but will see/know more later. Calgary had a tornado warning with funnel clouds ta boot. Over all just a crazy assed storm. The one train tried crossing a tressle and the cars look to be double decker ship container cars, cheap tv anyone? =) Just check out some western canadian news/weather sites and you should get some pics fairly soon. Hope my shingles are not TOO bad.

Even the storm to end all storms couldn't keep Ranfordfan off of TCDB though!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

5 shingles and my downspouts. Nothing more here thankfully. Lots of damage further south though by the sounds of it. Seen a few seacans in places they were not suppose to be and a few roofs much worse than mine so all is good. Was seasonal today 6C but 17C for tomorrow again, with the chance of more storms. LOL
Nothing (other than a giddy wife) will keep me from my duties Switzr ......... nothing. =D
