Gary Cooper as Lou Gehrig. Plus, Babe Ruth, Bob Meusel, Mark Koenig, and Bill Dickey play themselves, as does sportscaster Bill Stern. I love the scene near the beginning where Lou is on the sandlot with his friends and pulls out the tobacco cards and the other kid tosses the Babe Ruth card away, dismissing him as a rookie!

I may hate the Yankees, but I love this movie! Gary Cooper is my favorite.
