....what the Astros did in 2017. Listen to the podcast below.
https://www.radio.com/podcasts/the-edge-45185
There are interviews with Bolsinger and Farquhar, Luhnow and Beltran. The most recent episode is focused on Tony Adams, a life-long Astros fan brought to tears as he talked again about the analysis he did that 100% supported the accusations.

Listening to this again made me angry. I hope Beltran never sets foot on a professional ballfield gain and Altuve goes 0-10 with the HOF. Any of them who took even one pitch should be ashamed and deserve every angry word spit at them and fastball at their chin.
If any of you who I have traded with are Astros fans, sorry. Unfriend me. No hard feelings. But hold onto those 2017 Astros cards, they may be worth more someday for what they did.

Should Altuve even be considered for the hall? It seems to me that outright cheating is worse than betting on baseball.

Maybe wait to see if Altuve even maaintains a HOF trajectory. For all we know he suffers and Andruw Jones type drop-off. And yes, I know there is a HOF debate concerning Jones on whether his stats warrant inclusion. With that said, plenty of known cheaters have made it in over the years so if he is otherwise ellgible then worse case it may be held against him for a few years.

This World Series yesterday was a rare instance of me being happy to see the Dodgers win, just because of 2017. I hope they give a ring to everyone who was on that team but not still there in 2020.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Sad thing is Beltran had a legitimate shot at the hall of fame. Shame how someone can throw it all away just like that.

To me a bigger concern is when they start ejecting players from the HOF due to"unacceptable" past behavior. I honestly see a time when players like Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth etc are removed due to perceived racist leanings. Let's be totally honest Ty Cobb was not a nice person to put it lightly. And before you scoff think about what we are seeing now with statues, schools etc being pulled down/changed from historical figures like Washington, Jefferson and even Lincoln. The 2017 season should be remembered but let's tread carefully on letting one bad apple spoil the whole barrel. And before Pete Rose gets into the HOF let's put Shoeless Joe Jackson in first.

jmkidd......I agree with you. Do I think Rose's numbers deserves him to be in the HOF? Absolutely. But before that happens I again agree with you, Shoeless Joe should be in.

I still like Beltran for his time in STL. He ran some big fundraisers to to help kids or the homeless or something. I remember the commercials but not the specific cause because it was several years ago. And he didn't receive a lifetime ban like Jackson and Rose, so his name will be on the HOF ballot.
I hope the day NEVER comes where they decide to remove players already enshrined. The hall will lose ALL legitimacy if that happens. A Hall of Fame without Cobb and Ruth, arguably the two greatest players ever, is a joke.

Yeah definitely don't remove players already in.
I also have a feeling that Pete Rose will be inducted into the hall after he dies.

I feel awful for true Houston fans.
A contrite apology from those Astros stars would go a long way. But it's always been "the commissioner made his report" and sort of pretending it didn't happen, based on the legal agreements they signed. They're going to wish 2020 wasn't fanless, because the boos will just be there waiting for them next year.
