I feel Tony Taylor should be more well known. He was a big time Philly 2nd baseman. Tony Taylor was a little before my time and I'm not a Philly fan in particular. However I'm a huge baseball and baseball history fan and I'm embarrased to say I never heard of Tony Taylor until I ran across some of his cards in one of my collecting projects a month back or so. He played more games as a Philly than legendary Philly second baseman Chase Utley. Since 1960, I believe he's 5th on the Philly hits list
Philly Hits (since 1960)
1. Jimmy Rollins 2306
2. Mike Schmidt 2234
3. Larry Bowa 1798
4. Chase Utley 1623
5. Tony Taylor 1511
That's some big time company!
