Seems like it's full steam ahead for the MLB, despite the newly announced cases of COVID-19 that is affecting some of the platers and staff.
Opening Day is slated for Friday, July 24th. The original Opening Day was going to be on a Thursday. I have moved the all of the drafts to the same day of the week they were previously, and they remain to be about a week before the season begins (drafts are scheduled between July 16th and July 20th). The Prize H2H league run by bbcardz should still be slated to draft on Friday, July 17th (none of the non-prize leagues draft on Friday).
Now that things are looking very definite, I will give a final call to anyone who wishes to join the short-season this year. I had gotten a couple e-mails last announcement, and I will find those and contact you. If you wrote to me previously and haven't heard anything from me by tomorrow night, please send me another message. Thank you!

Saturday, 7/18/20 - 8:00 PM - TCDB_H2H3
Saturday, 7/18/20 - 9:30 PM - TCDB2_Roto
Sunday, 7/19/20 - 8:00 PM - TCDB_H2H2
Sunday, 7/19/20 - 9:30 PM - TCDB
Monday, 7/20/20 - 9:00 PM - TCDB_H2H
Thursday, July 23rd is opening day. Good luck to everyone, especially the players on the field.
As a means of dealing with possible outbreaks, I will be expanding DL spots to 5 in each league. Hopefully, that will be enough.

The TCDb "Prize" League is still looking for at least one more team to so that we can have an even number of teams and avoid bye weeks. We have nine teams so far.
Also due to the possibility that MLB season could suddenly end at any time, our league is not requiring managers to submit a card to the league prize pool--too many complications if the season ended unexpectedly. However, one of our league managers and myself have pledged cards to the first and second place teams, so there are prizes to be won.
If you'd like to join our Head-to-Head league, please PM me and I will send you an invite.

The season (as it was) is over. I posted this message to the boards of the leagues I am commissioner of:
What a strange little season this was. 60 games in about 9-10 weeks. But we made it.
I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for their participation. Hopefully, we'll have normalcy returned for the 2021 season.
Until then, take care, stay safe, and take a peek at Andy's contest on TCDB: https://www.tcdb.com/Forum.cfm/Page/O/ID/0/?MODE=VIEW&ThreadID=25273&C=2 or CynicalBuddha's contest on his blog: https://collectorscrack.blogspot.com/2020/09/10th-annual-almost-easiest-world-series.html (or both!).
Stay healthy,
Dan

Once again, a sincere thanks to the admins who ran these leagues! It was a weird season, but a fun one!

Congratulations Dan on winning the TCDB_H2H2 league! Well done!
Thanks for heading up so many TCDb fantasy baseball leagues--you rock! It was so much fun!
And thanks so much for coming to the rescue of my TCDB Fantasy Prize League and taking on a team so that we could have a 10-team league--much appreciated! I'm glad you made the league playoffs but feel bad for you that you tied both of your playoff opponents and yet Yahoo declared the other team the winner both times--heartbreak!
Big thanks go out to all of the TCDb members who participated in the TCDB Fantasy Prize League. As Dan said, it was a strange little season. But I'm so glad we got to finish the fantasy league season and that MLB is in the postseason. Back in July, I had very strong doubts that either would make it to the finish line.
Another thanks go out to Dan for promoting my MLB Postseason Bracket contest. Can't wait to see your predictions, Dan!
