My plan for today was to drive to Mattoon, take the train to Effingham, walk to the card shop and buy my brother's Christmas, eat lunch, then buy my Mom's Christmas at one of the antique shops there. But there's 6 hours between trains, the shops close early, it's 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and will be much colder by the time the return train arrives after sundown. So I guess I'll sit at home, look at cards, and count the days until spring. Or maybe just drive through miles and miles of road construction to Effingham.
There was no point to any of this, except I wanted to gripe about winter.
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
