Hi guys,
I just got this card a few days ago in an oddball lot, but I can’t find anything at all about it. The back is white/blank, so there’s no help there. It’s slightly larger than a standard card.
My guess is it was a card given away at a signing which was to be taken to a table/booth (4010) where you’d pay the $2.50 to get it (or something else) signed.
Has anyone seen this card and have any more details or similar cards that can confirm or disprove my theory?
I have thousands of Ryan cards, but this is the only one I’ve had any trouble identifying.
Thanks!

It's a "card" designed to be stuck on a Sports Ilustrated poster display. Looks like it's the 1975 design. The posters were $2.50 each and in slot 4010. Hope this helps!

Everything kcjays said x10! I didn’t really have much hope about getting any answers, much less a great one in a matter of minutes. Thank you!
Do you happen to know of any references to that? I’m not having any luck finding that anywhere. Either way, it’s really cool to know what it actually is.
Thanks again!

I found one auction from some site I never heard of, but that's the actual poster ....
https://collectauctions.net/lot-189.aspx
You can find these SI cards up till the early 90's from the displays....

I’m not sure what you mean by “displays” there.
That auction was all I could find initially, too. I finally came across this, though, which I think puts the year at 1977: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265501578396
Notice the 4010 in the ad.
I also found one other card similar to that at https://www.ebay.com/itm/185998105523, but no Ryan ones.

The "display" refers to the box thingy that was at the store back in the day. They had a back which showed the poster "cards" and cubby holes where the posters were located ... newer ones have a poster in a holder you flip thru ....

That Knicks card is the same albeit older example. There is also a Jordan from the 90's on ebay. The sheet is for ordering posters directly from the magazine, not the store in person.

Something similar to this.
-------------------------------
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
