Now I am not so sure about my answer above ... found some pics from 1980, on the same site of him posing with the trophy. I don't know if he was the Driver back in 1980, but there are pictures of the team racing and at the awards ceremony with his grinning mugshot in those. Maybe those 8 Derby's were not consecutive?
