U. of Michigan Hockey player?

So a couple of years ago, I was at a mom & pop restaurant in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. I see this older gentleman wearing a U of Michigan cap. So while he's waiting for his order, I engage in conversation and he signs something for me. Once I get home, I hit the google hard and just can't seem to find him anywhere.

So maybe I missed something in the spelling of his name or he was sick on team photo day (from archival photos)....but I hit a wall.
