Hi TCDB,
I wanted to know if you could help me confirm my assumptions? I recently bought this heavily trimmed 1954 Ted Williams on eBay for a ridiculously low price. After closer inspection when it came in, there was a sticker afixed to the back. If you look closely, it lines up with the same cards you have in the data base for this set. I just wanted to see if you could take a look and confirm it? Let me know if you have any questions or anything else I can provide.
Thanks!
Mike

Awesome! Thank you for confirming. I thought it was, and before I got excited, I figured I would have someone with a little more knowledge on these confirm.
Thanks!

Thanks! I couldnt believe how cheap it was, as I think the seller thought it was just a trimmed Ted Williams. As I went to pull off the sticker I figured I'd investigate it, and I'm glad I posted it here!

Very cool find. I never knew about these. I am curious as to how it is listed in the database. The numbers only list the numbers that are visible in the images, but we know the numbers of all three cards since they match the actual set. In fact Granny Hamner is on two of these cards, one with his card number and one without.
Shouldn't all three card numbers be listed? Just asking, thanks.

No, only card numbers that are visible. With a card-in-hand that's all a person has to search/verify what they have. I don't think it would hurt anything to put the assumed (hidden) card numbers in Note2.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

From what I've seen from a quick search on PSA and auction houses, it seems that the Ted Williams hasnt surfaced. I know the salesman samples are crazy rare, is this one of the only copies? I know this was a happy accident as it was my intent to just acquire the card.
