Card Identification Forum

Or, more accurately, is this an insert from a card set? If it's not, where did it come from? I got it with a group of cards sent to me by a friend and I'm not entirely sure how to classify it...for right now I just have it listed as "unknown Kings helmet" and I want more information than that. 

My gut feeling is that it was probably a sticker in a vending machine and not from a card set, however, it's clearly cut to be card sized from top to bottom. Side to side is a little bit thinner than a standard card.  I need some help on determining what it actually is. Thanks! 

Your guess of from a vending machine is probably correct.  "PVI" is Peninsula Vending Inc".

Is that paper loss on the back? As if it was originally attached to something else; such as a display sample from the vending machine.

Kind of looks like a pog except it isn't round.

OK, I'm convinced. Thanks! What season does it come from? And which goalie is represented? I'm not overly familiar with Kings history. That is indeed paper loss but not all the cards were in great shape so I didn't think too much on that. 

That's just a generic team mask and doesn't represent a specific goalie. Based on the foil design it could be either the comc 1996 sticker set (we have them listed as 1995-96).  Or what we have listed as 1996-97.

Looks like both companies used the same images.
