2001 Topps Archives Ken Anderson Buyback 1978 Topps Autograph 089/100 Auto | eBay

I have what is described as a 2001 Topps Archives Buyback Autograph of Ken Anderson's 1978 Topps card #205 (link above).

It is sharpie S/N 089/100 on front with a holograph sticker #5070939 on back.

I appreciate the help finding it in the TCDB.

I don't believe there have ever been buyback autos in archives football. I can't say if the auto is real or not, but Topps wouldn't have slapped a sticker on there without embossing or some type of foil indicating what it was from. 

It's a fake. 

I wouldn't go so far as to label it a "fake".  It's still possibly a real auto, and it's certainly a real Topps 78 card.  It's just not a Topps issued buyback.

It's entirely possible another company sold and certified the autos on the card (and could be the label on the back that relates to a certification that exists 'somewhere').

Yes I saw this too, but these are numbered /100.  Perhaps they're the same.  That's where I'll record it though!
