Card Identification Forum

Hi - I have a couple of Red Foley mini cards from 1988 and 1989. I 've seen them listed on eBay as "Red Foley's Best Baseball Book Cover Photo Mini Cards" (not the stickers). I cannot find anything for these in TCDB - can these be added? The below links list some examples of the cards, there they are referred to as Red Foley Cover Mini. Please advise. Thank you!

Sorry, that would be like cutting out the top of a box and calling that a card. they are not cards, they are part of the packaging.

You think they are cut from a box? What do you base that on? The few that I have do not seem cut from a box or if they were, it was done very well but itt feels like a card stock material and not a packaging box, as do the examples in the link I provided; they do not look cut from a box. Can you please elaborate?

Your comment got me to search more on internet and I did see a graded Don Mattingly version and the descirption says hand cut. Hmmm...I wonder what separates these from Hostess unless it's that Hostess had the perforated lines to indicate they should be cut out -not sure about these although there seems to be quite a few on eBay and they are well cut.

They were cut from the book's cover.

That's why I said what I said. I couldn't tell from the images I saw if it was a book or a box.

I still stand by the statement that they do not get added individually to the site, but feel free to add the image of the book cover to the packaging area.
