I could use some help identifying this issue...is it ILSA Sweets? 1934? 1936? Czechoslovakia? Candy or cigarette? I assume it is part of a multi-sport set that came with an album to stick them into. I have 10 different hockey, including Wembley Lions, Winipeg Monarch (spelled just like that), Gromoll-Doyle, Hromadka and Tozicka. All my searches take me to "1934 Ilsa Sweets Album Sportovcu Multi-Sport Cards" but they are not those. Any help greatly appreciated.

That has to be Jan Peka. I believe it says roughly "became a member of the Czech hockey team".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Not sure how helpful, but found this page indicates around the 1935 World Championship (Davos) the Winnipeg Monarchs did many exhibition games in Europe. May have played Wembley Lions and LTC Praha in London/Prague.

Found a few other card images of the same design. Two were from the 1934 World Cup Finals, one was the Wembley Canadians who only existed for the 1934-35 season. All referenced them as 1935 Ilsa Sweets.

The text is in Czech and it says "Peka, a stable member of CS (Czechoslovakian) hockey team".

It would be interesting to see pictures of cards people had from the set, if time permits to take photo/scan.

I can see a couple with PWCC research search tool. There is a small POP report of 1935 set by SGC under Ilsa Sweets.
