I find it interesting that this set was started in 2005, two years before the media circus that was the 2007 season until he cracked the record at home against my Nats. The next night after he broke the record, the circus left and within a few days you didn't hear about Bonds again. I was sick of hearing about Bonds the closer he got to the record. It is also interesting that it was during the Giants dry spell for post seasons. Now days you can't keep them out in the even years.
I wonder what Topps would have done if sometime between 2005 and 2007 Bonds had had some kind of career ending injury that would have prevented him from breaking Aaron's record? I guess they would have finished the series with whatever he stopped at.
