Couple isses.

1.  Base set  cards have gold foil except  2  both rookies.  Is that correct?

2.  I have 2 other  cards of #128A Scott Frost.  1 is silver foil and the other is gold foil.  Issues is on both cards the edge Logo  upper left hand corner it shows 99 instead of 98 like the other cards.    Any ideals???

1) I redeemed a San Francisco 49ers team card back-in-the-day & received multiple copies of each rookie.  As I recall, there could be three or four versions of each card - gold (colored) foil, silver (holo/rainbow) foil, gold (real 24kt) foil & the thick cardstock "Gold Ingot".  I think the team card I sent in was the Gold Ingot version, which is why I may have received the 24kt versions of the RCs

The 24kt cards are not currently listed, but you can tell them apart from the standard gold-colored foil by their obvious luster & smoother foil appearance.

Unfortunately, those cards are long-since sold or traded away, so I can't visually verify them.

2) I do see that the one Redskins RC pictured also has the "99" CE logo, so maybe some rookies were printed later & got the more recent year's foil stamp.

I really want to say this was discussed a couple of years ago, but I would have to hunt down the thread to verify that. It's possible that the '99's are a preview card instead of a review card. Just typing this off the top of my head, but I'll help you figure it out if someone doesn't beat me to that.

I though the same but could not find any postings.    Just wondering if I mark them up as a misprint.   My excel files have notes added.  There are several sets / years that I have find this happening.

That's not the thread I was thinking of when I replied, otherwise it would have had some replies in that thread. I know there was another one here about CE Supreme cards more recently.

I wonder if that's the reason for several cards that I have that are shinier than usual, even on the back side.
