I was wondering if this is a variation of the first photo? It is not listed in the database as having a variation. I'm not sure how to add this card if it is, so I'll let someone who knows what they are doing add it if need be.
Thank you,
Teresa

The second one is a factory set variation. If you filter by that card number you will see both cards.

- Go to the player page
- Under the header, there is a line of links, one of them says Filters, click it
- One of the items you can filter on is card number
- Type the card number you have in hand
- Click the Apply button
That will show you all the cards of that player with that card number.

makes sense
I am more used to navigating to set then inserts, but you would have to know to look for the name "Factory Set Rookie Variations"
thanks, mark

Sorry, most of my responses are short and sweet because I’m usually surfing from my phone and it’s harder for me to get in depth. Hopefully I throw enough key words out that to help point the way. Thankfully we have a great group here to help each other out. Filtering by played answers a lot of questions for me and keeps me from having to dig through all of the possible sets a card could lie in.

If the filter by card number didn't exist, I wouldn't have found half the cards I received in two huge lots (of Gwynn and Thomas). Those inserts in the late 90s were all over the place. Just because it said Upper Deck on it, only meant I had to look through 20 products. Not happening. I was using that feature again and again to figure out what I had. What a tremendous feature!

I see where that feature can be helpful when entering a player collection, or searching for a card without knowing the year
thanks for sharing that info!

Just for future reference, when looking for Topps Baseball SP's & SSP's turn your card over and look to the bottom right for a serial number 2018 Topps Baseball goes like so SP's have the last four numbers being 412 SSP's 414 and run about one per every 3 cases making them some of the hardest to collect. SP 412 run one per retail Blaster and hanger boxes and 2 per hobby box, at least that has been my luck in the 2 hobby cases I busted last week. What can I say I love Topps I go overboard every year. So should someone need something lmk I can more than likely help you complete that set or find that missing rookie?

I trade via Beckett only exceptions period. So if you wish to use eBay prices then please move on.

yep that code on back is very helpful when opening packs of a new release that you are not totally familiar with yet
even if you don't know what the code means, you can at least see it is not same as regular base
