Have you ever seen any of the letters for these from an away jersey (White background) in your search? The ones in your picture are all from the home jerseys. Also do the cards mention anything along the lines of "congratulations you have received this manufactured ..." ? Have you ever seen a duplicate serial# on any card, same letter or not?
I am asking because in the NHL teams only play 40-41 home games (a few more with pre-season & playoffs) per year, and for some of those home games they wear their 3rd jersey (Blue with the C inside a mountain on the front). There would not be enough jerseys to spell out his name 75 times with game used sweaters. Maybe if they wore a different jersey for every period for every game, but I don't think they do.
If these are manufactured nameplate letters, Panini could print as many as they want or the player is willing to sign.
