I was reading the post about what your plans are for your collection if you pass. I don’t have any kids so I figured I would start making a breakdown for my family and what do you know I ran into an issue with the first player. 
I started by using the stats link for hockey and went to Top Names knowing it was Gretzky. That shows 887 but when I clicked his name it shows 896. I then went to ranking for members collecting and it shows 896. I then remembered I have other cards from non hockey sets and went to the stats link for all collections and that shows I have 904. I then went to collection gallery and that is showing me 906.

I can’t figure out why there are 4 different numbers of cards showing.

896 Should be with duplicates 

I am counting 896 without doubles under collection and then counting 906 under the gallery. 

Look through your gallery.  The gallery maybe be showing (and counting) your duplicates as two cards.

I don’t have many doubles listed, around 6 or 7 cards that are parts of full sets that I have more than one of. As far as I can tell the doubles are not counted more than once. I thought maybe the non hockey cards (multi sport/ baseball) that I own weren’t linked to him, but all are showing in the collection gallery. Gretzky is the only player I have found that the numbers aren’t matching up.
