The Nagoya Grampus Eight (4139) changed their team name to Nagoya Grampus (6998) in 2008. Both team names have a TID. There are several hundred cards from 2008 to current that need to be changed from NG-8 to the correct Nagoya Grampus name.
My question is, can this be updated en masse or will each card need to be changed one at a time?
I might also add that Nagoya Grampus-8 (4139) as the team name is also wrong and it should be Nagoya Grampus Eight.

If it can be done en masse I'd love to know. I'm constantly correcting Syracuse Orangemen/Orange teams on checklists. Uploaders take no care as to year of set or the players years at the school.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I can start working on the team updates. I will let you know once I am done. Thanks, Brian

Hi C2C- How do you differentiate the use of Orangeman/Orange so that I know for future checklists?
Thanks,
Colin

Starting in 2004-05, the school switched from Orangemen/Orangewomen to just "Orange", but any sets featuring past players like McNabb, Carmelo Anthony, etc., should still use "Orangemen" unless the card specifically says "Orange".

Syracuse changed the teams nickname to "Orange" starting with the 2004-05 school year (late August 2004).

If they put "Orange" on a McNabb card for instance, it'd be like putting "Commanders" on a Joe Theismann card. They'd be "incorrect team" and an UER. And incorrect teams don't go in the Team field. You can't rewrite history.

Thanks Brian. If they need to be individually changed I can also start updating. I just didn't want to go one by one if there was a faster way.
I've run across a few like this in the J League stuff.

All of the updates have been completed and the -8 TID has been removed for the Eight TID.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Thanks, Brian
