So, lately I have had an issue with updated scans not working properly. When there has already been an update to a scan, in the past I have needed to refresh/Control F5/Shift F5/Clear my browsing history, etc. to successfully update the new scan. Easy enough. However, lately nothing seems to work right. I submit a re-scan and nothing I do will make the new image appear.

This has been an issue since the site was moved to the newest server a few weeks ago. Admin has been working with the hosting service trying to get this worked out.
The actual problem is with the server caching the images that are "most popular", so by us doing these refreshes, we're making those images stay in the server's cache longer and longer. It has nothing to do with our browsers' caches now.

Replacement image uploads, image rotation and front/back swapping are all currently affected

Any update on Admin's "working with the new hosting service to get this worked out"? Updating crappy scans (even my own) is one of the things I do most often here. Would sure like to have this option available.

I have not heard anything back (I have assigned a few IRs to him regarding these issues, but no direct response). I was replacing some images the other day, and most of them "took" right away, but 2 still showed the old image. I just had to make the assumption that my scan went through.

Admin responded to me on November 13th with "it's already on the lowest setting for the ViewCard page" when I asked if image cache refreshing was hourly instead of instant, so it looks like we have to wait an hour, check back, see if the images are good now, fix them again if they aren't, wait another hour, lather rinse repeat...
