I have been speaking with Admin on card numbering which seems to affect the Gaming category the most. The FAQ for card numbering has been updated after discussions with confusion I feel we all have.

The card numbers listed on checklists should try to reflect the card numbers as they appear on the cards themselves, including any dashes, prefixes, or suffixes*. Unnumbered cards should be entered in as "NNO".
* Cards with formatting like "31/250" or "18 of 20" do not need the "/XXX" or "of XX" suffixes added with the exception of Pokemon cards where this suffix informs other aspects of the cards

So before the stared section was missing so I was under the impression cards such as Magic that display /XXX should be listed as such and I know me and other members have been fixing older ones (and some people's newer ones). The question did come up if we should include Magic and other possible sets as exceptions as well and I don't reallly have a huge opinion other than they be consistent and everyone be on the same page.
I think any exceptions would still mean if they card is listed as 001 it should not be in the database as 1 which also happens a lot.
