Hey, I do this. I no longer trade, but I keep a wantlist for my own collecting purposes.

Perhaps at some point in the future, I will begin trading again, but I'll still maintain my want list...mainly so that I don't forget which cards I want!

Another example could be include/exclude members who turned off trades. Sometimes trades are turned off, because they are reviewing their lists. In these times, they add and remove lots of cards and this can cause false match results.

Super agree. I wasn't ready to trade my first 6-7 years on the site and I would get trade offers constantly, to the extent that politely declining would have been done to excess. I didn't even realize you could turn off trades until a couple years ago. Granted, I didn't bother reading the faqs, so that's on me.

A toggle to adjust to/from certain countries would also be helpful. (i.e. eliminate Canadian traders if a US member wants that, and vice-versa).
