Little by little I'm learning, but I'm still making mistakes. Some of it is impatience, BUT alot is learning the Software, Photoscape and ScanSpeeder, the Scanners, 2 different EPSONs and their individual settings, the Settings and their nuances.

I'm sure I'm hurting my Image Processing chances an losing points in the process, but How else do you learn?

When my previous computer went belly up me and Mrs Gunny decided to go with an imac.  I had to learn all over again how to scan with a new computer, new software and a new scanner.  Took some time (way longer than it should have) but I am now happy with the results.

Does anyone have any quick tips for improving scans of foil cards? I have an all-in-one printer / flatbed scanner and it's fine for most cards but foil cards just come out really dark.

I have seen a tip to use a sheet of filter paper on the flatbed. Does this work?
