If I received a warning about being inactive for having a trade list and not trading. I wouldn't come back. It's insulting. What I have and other have going on in life is way more important than sports cards. I Haven't traded here or any other forum in about 3 or 4 years. I have to much going on and I'm just trying to get better.

It's not intended for members who choose or can't trade for whatever reason. I'm referring to actually logging in to the website.

You both asked and answered the same question in your first post.
Does it exist? No
Are there people who want it to? Yes, based on the many replies to the affirmative every week or so the same topic is brought up (with varying conditions on the affirmative)
Does beating a dead horse bring it to life? No
If you want to make it happen, propose a new feature and rally the troops to vote it to a top priority for Admin. I realize you're fairly new here, but there have been multiple discussions on this topic and if you want the site to change, that's the way to make it happen. Yes I am new here, so I am asking questions not "beating a dead horse". I really like this site and enjoy being here. The way you responded came off a little rude thats all...dosen't really make new members feel like they can ask queations and be involed in the site.

I wish we could do the following: After a certain amount time(maybe a year?) if a user hasn't logged in they get categorized as inactive. Then anytime that username shows up on any list(or anywhere else on the site) it shows up as a different color than active users. Then, you don't have to click on the username and go to their profile just to find out they're inactive. Of course, when/if they ever log in again they immediately go back to the active category. I think as time goes on a feature like becomes more and more essential, because as the site gets older a higher and higher percentage of users showing up on any list are going to be inactive.

Sounds like a good idea.

Try sending these "inactive" members a message. IIRC, the default setting on this site is to have an e-mail sent to your registered e-mail account when a message is received. Also, if they have a user list, e-mails are triggered when a new comment is posted. (These are settings that can be turned off, but how many people ever really check on these things? Only the tech geeks and a handful of others.)
Your message may be the kick in the pants they need to get back here.
It's not prudent for a site (especially this one) to delete profiles. Several members have stated that they signed up, and did not return for weeks, months, and sometimes as much as year before finally becoming a regular on here.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

That was me for sure vrooomed, but maybe a search filter could be added to allow the member to put in an activity level parameter like only show matches of people active within 120 days, 240 days, etc?

I like the idea of color coded icons. Maybe green for profiles that have been active in the last six months, yellow if you have been inactive from six months to one year, and red if inactive for more than a year. It would be helpful when looking for trade matches because you could choose to skip over certain profiles and not waste time looking for matches.

That's the best idea I've heard in this thread.
