And this is exactly why I enjoy my Earl Grey and this site .......... your all great folk!!
And Billy ..... after collecting 40 years of Star Wars reading material, all first editions or first printings, and of that having read over 80% of it, too have some suits and some "hip" director decide that they needed to change it to make it worth doing was the BIGGEST kick to the nuts a person could ever take. But I will not go down that road any further. LOL

LOL Sweet items ............... I have the Star Wars one but not the ESB and have never seen the Ewoks one before. Alas the SW one is from my childhood and the amount of red crayon and scratches that are included (ooops) dont make it worth much. =/

My earliest memory in life is seeing Star Wars at the drive in. Although it's a very vague memory now. I Loved the old three. Hated the Jar Jar one but liked Darth Maul. Don't remember anything about Episode Two, including the name, though I did see it. Hated Episode Three. Never did understand who the old Jedi or the clones were. Didn't bother with Seven. Also I hate the enhancements to the old one. Like adding Jabba to the cantina. And Han shot first!! I haven't watched any of them in years. More of a fond childhood memory than an adult indulgence.
i genuinely know nothing about Star Trek though.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I've had mine since childhood as well. They are worn, but not abused. No writing in/on them and I still have the records. I believe they still play flawlessly, but haven't checked that in a long time. What makes the condition of them more surprising to me is that I was born in 1978! And even more surprising is that I've kept them all these decades with minimal extra handling/deterioration.

That sucks, Billy! I don't think I've ever lost anything to flood, but definitely have lost stuff to moisture. Losing lots of stored cards in the early 90's taught me a lot about protecting things from the humidity we get in NC in the summer.

My earliest childhood memory is watching many fish swim around in my father's aquarium. I was about 5 at the time. I've owned aquariums myself since I was 18 b/c I never forgot those memories. I haven't gotten to the size that his was yet. Going by what I know about them and the memories I have, I want to say it was at least a 50-gallon aquarium. I started with a 1-gallon tube and slowly moved up in size as I had room (or money) for them. My current one is 25 gallons and I've had it for about a decade. I generally keep 1 fish at a time now b/c the fish live longer and get bigger that way. I currently have a Rainbow Shark that I got in March this year. He replaced a Conga Tetra that I had in that tank for 6 years!!! Before the Tetra, I had a Brim/Bream/Sunfish (different names for the same fish) that I rescued from my pond's overflow creek after a tropical storm. That one lived in there for 3-4 years. Aquariums are a great way to calm down or relax in stressful times. Freshwater ones are pretty easy and cheap to maintain. As long as you top it off with clean water when needed, keep the temperature from variating much, and vaccum the muck out every 3-6 months, the fish will stay happy and healthy. It's a nice and calm hobby to have in this stressful world!
