Upper Deck base Young Guns don't get an SP note, even though they are shorter printed than the base. As it was explained to me once, 'everyone knows they are short printed, so the YG note covers them'.

So why is there an inconsistency in the use of the SP note for Young Guns canvas cards ?

For example, the ones from the 2019 and 2020 set are marked with an SP note, the 2021 set is not, nor are 2022.

Shouldn't one standard be applied to these across all the years ?

I assume there should be no note, but don't want to submit IR'S since that's not my call.

Simply put, people are adding the notes when they shouldn't be. They think they are doing right, but now they need to be fixed. YG in the Canvas set should just have the YG Note1 and that's it.

Either crowd-sourcing inconsistency or an uploader that doesn't listen to guidance to stop adding the "SP" note

Both are fixed. The '19 set was updated 4 years ago with SP annotation. Guess you were the first to catch the deviation since then.

I did an advanced search for the parameters. Looks like card C120 in the 2019 set was missed and still has the note, otherwise it looks clean.
