Anyone have any tips for scanning incase cards? I got a 2016 Panini Flawless Ben Roethlisberger that no matter what i do the scan is very blurry. Removing the card is not an option for me.

Check your scanner's specs, it probably uses CIS technology (Contact Image Sensor). In order to effectively scan encased cards, you need to use a scanner that uses the CCD system (Charge Coupled Device).

You must have a CIS (contact image sensor) scanner. It only focuses on what is in direct contact with the platen (glass).
You need a CCD (charged-couple device) scanner.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

thanks for the replies, both of my scanners are cis and buying one for a few scans probably isnt the best idea. So my next question is it better to have a blurry image of a card or no image at all?. i cant figure out how to put the image in this post so you could see it

There's arguments both ways on that issue.
What you can do is upload the image that you have and tag it as needing replacement.

See if any of your friends have a CCD scanner. Or a local library.

other than check your scanner settings and playing with that, try putting your mouse pad (or a black mat) over the piece and try scanning- i found that to work on a couple occassions
