Countries do not get PIDs. Please remember this. Places, animal species, etc = NO PID.. Only people.

Thank goodness it is only animal species and not animals.  I have all of Rally Monkeys cards!

Why not?   There are many cards under different countries as well as animal species.  

Actually, things have kinda gone back and forth on this. Various things that were originally "no PID" items have been changed to be "PID" items. Stadiums, States, Countries, etc.

However, Teams, still do not get PIDS as well as checklists, team photos, and unidentified people in group shots (e.g., "Training Staff" with no names, "Coaches" with no names).

Direct from the FAQ:

Should inanimate objects be added (stadiums, trophies, etc.)?

For inanimate objects, only names that are proper nouns should be added. Subjects that are generic, common nouns should not be added. Examples:

• stadium (should not be added)
  Lambeau Field (ok)

• trophy (should not be added)
  Stanley Cup Trophy (ok)

• battleship (should not be added)
  U.S.S. Maine (ok)

For sorting and search purposes, these sorts of names should be entered entirely in the "Last Name" field when being created. Teams should not be added as names as they're already browsable through the teams area.

hmmm...there are a lot of "checklist" PIDs in Basketball.

I've cleared out and reported a bunch of them (in B-ball). Send me a private message when you see them. Additionally, Admin added some code to the site to check for "Checklist" being added as a PID and to stop it from happening. But if there are many PIDs, maybe there is more to the "name" than just "Checklist".

If you search Basketball for "checklist" you'll see 27 of them.  All are prefixed with a college.

Where?  If you see any others...

PID = Person IDentifier - it's the number in the person/player is assigned in the actual database. Hank Aaron has PID "1". Muhammad Ali is PID "39219". It is the way to identify who is on a card.

Likewise, we also have TIDs on here - Team IDentifiers.
