I scanned a Topps Target Throwback Ricky Nolasco and then noticed a pink line on the bottom left of the card. I know for a fact I didn't put it there. What does this mean if anything. Do I just have a card with a pink squiggle, do I have a rare card (which with my luck with such things I know is unlikely)? There's on on ebay but the image is so poor I couldn't confirm if that card had the same marking. Thoughts people.

If the card is a holofoil or refractor type card, and your scanner is an Epson, it'll likely do that. I have two Epson scanners, one of them does that on all foil cards. The tray got so filled up with dust and scuzz that I replaced it with a Canon scanner and now only use it for neons, deep depth cards, and coins.

Modern cards are shot out of printing machines at fast rates and squiggles like that can occur. machines are as close to perfection we've come but nothing is perfect. A possible explanation is that the red printer head, (Or whatever term they use to define the internal parts,) was failing when that card was printed. Mechanical failures really don't increase the value of a card.

(This is ONLY an educated guess. Make sure someone else can say the same before you take my word face value.)
