For $20 should I buy this?

Pretty sure you can get an empty rubbermaid bucket for like $5, and then you wouldn't have to dump out the beat up cards.

I generally steer clear of sales like this out of concern about condition. I would say no unless you can easily see something that catches your eye.

Love this response. I see these all the time in my local classifieds. Usually people think they are going to get $200+ for it though.

Before i joined this site i would have passed on this offer, however, being the active trader that i am and finding that someone on here needs almost anything you can find, i would purchase and use for trade bait for cards i need for my collection.

I probably would - if the cards don't look like they're in bad condition. It's not like you're buying it looking for the gem of all gems. It's just fun to sort through, and I'm sure there's at least $20 worth of cards.

That 1984 Fleer Johnny Bench is at least $1.00-$1.50 right there! :)
Of course, condition dependent. For $10, I'd do it. $20 is a bit pricey.

if you will get $20 in entertainment value from sorting, looking up, trading etc, than it is good
if not, then no
mark
