Shouldn't a set such as 1992 Classic Draft Basketball have the team listed for a player be the college, and not the NBA team?
Look that set up, and then look at the change log.

It's my understanding that if there is any mention of a pro team anywhere n the card, then it should be listed with the pro team, even if that player was just drafted when the card was produced. I know some disagree, especially in cases where a player maybe never played for their drafted team.

It's a college set, it should have the college team in my opinion (I've changed some of them only to have someone else change them back). If all it takes is a mention of the pro team, we would need to go back and change a bunch of minor league baseball sets too (i.e. the Line Drive sets), since they mention the major league team on the back.

The minor league baseball sets list the minor league team and have a place to link the the major league affiliate. A search by either team will show the player. Maybe College sets need the same link to the team that drafted the players.

It's not the uniform on the card that gives the team, it's the text. I have many Kurt Thomas cards of him in a TCU Horned Frogs uni but on the card somewhere it says "Miami" or "Miami Heat" (the team that drafted him). So it goes under "Miami Heat."

I can't speak much for minor league sets, but in such cases the team would at least be an affiliate of a MLB team, and it is a professional set.
In the case of this particular set, I see no reason for any of the cards to be linked to their NBA counterparts. They are not pictured in their NBA uniforms, and all the stats are for college. Classic also did not have an NBA license for the set.
At any rate the teams function is really not something I use very much. I pretty much know who I intend to collect for the most part, but it is something a lot of folks use as they want everyone who played for their faves.
This going back and forth is a bunch of foolishness, and if you look at the example I gave, you'll see what I mean. There needs to be some sort of ground rule put in place for this, as it would tick me off to go do all that work either way, just to have someone else come in and change it to a blank.

Are they from NBA sets though?

Permissions Level 2 states that a card showing a player in their college uniform should be listed under the college team only if no pro team is listed on the card.

Indeed it does.
But some may read that tiny print that says "Drafted by Orlando #1", and think that is good enough to change the team from the LSU Tigers to the Orlando Magic. I don't myself, as it only says Orlando.

Doc, I understand your point. But if it says "Orlando", that is the team. I may be wrong but I think there are some football scans on the data base that list both pro and college teams which makes sense because both teams are referenced on the card. Also just because a kid was drafted by a team doesn't mean he necessarily ever played for them. He could be traded before the season starts or simply not make the team, rare but it happens. I will check and see if I can find the football example I am talking about.
