Hi TCDB addicts!
I wanted to add a (in my opinion) Shawn Kemp variation to the 1990-91 Fleer basketball set. But since there are quite a few variations already mentioned in that list, I can't imagine nobody has seen this one. I then started wondering if this different cropping of the front photo is considered a variation on TCDB. So do I or do I not submit this variation? See photo for difference (the ball/his shoes for example). I know there's more players with different cropping versions in this set.
Thank you!
Maurice

Look at the backs. Many of the "black line" "no black line" have shifted photos.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thank you C2Cigars,
I noticed that too and the black line variety is not known for this Kemp card (yet). Of the 15 #178 Kemp cards I have here, all of them have the black line and three of them have the lower shifted/cropped photo on them. The black line has shifted photo "theory" might explain why this one isn't mentioned as a variation yet (since it doesn't have the black line thing)...

Looked at images over at COMC and see that the backs don't differ. These should be listed. I wonder if any other players have variaton like this for this set.

I’ll say that I was previously aware of the Kemp variation and that was the only variation I have from this set that was not already listed on the site.

If you can post more images like you did here for the others, it will be a huge help!

I'll add that fronts and backs images would be most helpful.

I don't have these cards but this are the images of the cards from the site I mentioned:
Billy Thompson is cropped different and this goes with the "heat-flame above the ring" variation:
And John Sylvester Newman is cropped different and has the J & Jr. difference on the back:
So far it looks like the different cropped front photo's have something to do with a variation on the back of the card. For the Kemp card I didn't discover this difference yet :-)
