hey all,

i have another member i accepted a trade with. their feedback looked suspect due to ship time comments from other members. so, i asked them if they were ok to send first and they agreed. that was may 1st. i have messaged them a few times with no reply (they do keep logging into the site every few days on this account) and the trade is still not marked shipped. at this point, i think i would rather just cancel it out. what i'm afraid of is them leaving me negative feedback in the end. is there a way to prevent this? looking at their feedback now, another member mentioned they now have opened another account.

The good news is that you got them to send first, so at least you're not out any cards. I would say leave the feedback, for others may get roped into a similar situation as you in the future. If they leave negative feedback I know that you can at least reply to that feedback explaining your position (and also allowing you to point out their feedback and vindictiveness). I don't know if one can have unfounded, retaliatory feedback removed, but hopefully traders here take the time to look into people's histories and decide for themselves about who is trustworthy. I myself don't balk too much if someone is slightly under 100%, but I do make an effort to see what (and how long ago) that non-positive feedback was about.

The one positive thing I'll say about Shawn is that he receives a lot of negative feedback and doesn't seem to ever leave revenge negatives. I wouldn't worry about that part of it, but I also don't think I'd leave a negative in this situation since you're not out anything. 

If you had a negative trade experience leave negative feedback. Doesn't matter if you sent anything to loose or not to me.

Could you mark the trade as problem and move on?

What I ended up doing was marking the trade unfinished. As far as feedback goes, it's up to you. It depends on the situation. 

I will only say 2 things here. #1 is Feedback can be removed by Admin if it is for a good reason. #2 is that marking a trade as Unfinished removes the trade after 90 days without removing your traders that were in the trade from your FS/T List or adding cards that were supposed to come to you into your Collection.
