I came into a stack of these from the 70s. Anyone interested in trading me cards for them?

No, but I wouldn't mind trading some of my old Baseball Magazines, etc, Tuff Stuff and stacks of Sports Illustrated [even swimsuit issues, lol].

Have anything with Royals players on the cover that you'd trade?

Was Willie Mays Aikens ever on the cover of the swimsuit issue? I don't think I bought that one!!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'm not familiar with these, are they strictly Pro teams? Any Sooners covers?

My wife is in her Spring Cleaning mode. She wants me to get rid of the 2-3 boxes I have of old Becketts and SCD magazines from the 90's and early 2000's. (Sorry mrbenaka I'm keeping the Royals covers.) I really hate to toss/recycle them but I know they're not really worth anything. I had thought about posting a thread here and seeing if anyone was interested in ones with a particular player or team. I'm almost scared to send this for fear it will be more of a hassle than its worth, but here goes. I'm not trying to make money, but I don't want to lose money either. I have no idea what it would/will cost to mail a magazine (or two). If someone is willing to pay the costs of me shipping it, I try and send you a player or team. I have no idea which ones I have but they would be from the 90-early 2000's. I think I filled 3 boxes and then only kept Royals and Cardinal covers after that. Send me a PM, be patient, and I'll get the boxes out and check.

I will give you some encouragement, kcjays, dump them. I dumped all my SCDs from the 1980s around 2000 and I haven't looked back. More space and fewer places for silverfish to breed. Oh, and I was already divorced at the time, so no one forced me to dump them. Just a reminder, everything does not have value. You will feel better too. One small step.

Agreed on the SCDs. The Becketts, however, seem to have some staying power (especially on ebay). Once you get one sent out, you'll know the postage rate - then sell the rest on ebay - even if they are only $1 each, you'll make a little bit. Whatever doesn't sell, dump. Just my advice.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the advice. I'd been debating this for over a month now. I know there's no reason to keep them and I have no problem getting rid of them. Being a collector of Royals "stuff" I hated to toss, for example, a Tony Gwynn cover if someone was a big fan and would like to have it. (I know I'd like to have a George Brett cover.) I've asked a couple of dealers at card shows if they wanted them, for free, and was told they're more trouble than they're worth.
