I remember going into that store once.  The guy in the store, I assume he is the Tom you are refering too. Was on the phone and said something to the effect that "I am a very busy guy" in a offputting manner while I was the only person in the store.  The way he said it made me turn around and walk out. 

That is the way I recall Tom. Very challenging to deal with.I bought most of my cards during my childhood days, from a little neighbor hood grocery store in Minot, that was by Little Flower church, called Sunshine grocery. Bought allot of 10cent packs of Topps from that store. It has since been turned into a family residence. If you are attempting to guess when packs could be bought for 10cents, I was buying them in the early to mid 70's.
