Sorry, I created the thread before I typed my message.

I've come across a bunch of these "Rookie Gems" cards on ebay. I'm assuming they're unlicensed custom cards, but I'm seeing so many of them that I'm beginning to wonder who is behind them. Does anybody know anything about them? I usually tend to avoid customs like this, but as a BYU collector, I want to add some Zach Wilsons to my collection and the design of these don't look too bad, really. I'm seriously considering picking some up, just for fun.

They've been around for a few years and do basketball too and it looks like they've been graded as ACEO Custom

Yeah I have been noticing them lately too especially when I look up a certain players rookie card like "Yordan Alverez Rookie" or "LaMelo Ball Rookie" I have two reasons why I think they have become so popular. 1 for new collectors or little kids who think they are actual cards and they bait them into buying them or people who like to get autos through the mail and want to get a card cheap of that player will sometimes buy them.
